From School to Ocean, Inspiring Children with Special Needs

Workplace systems and benefits are not the only forms of employee care. It can also be expressed through the support and trust for employees outside of work and collective actions for meaningful causes. In May 2025, OTIZ organized a non-profit program for children with special needs. Staff from the Knitting Fabric Division and the Human Resources Department joined Wuzhong School of Special Education and accompanied the students, their parents, teachers and medical staff on an outing to Zhangjiagang Dream Ocean Kingdom and Adorable Pet Park, which was also a journey of co-learning through companionship and exploration.
To the children, it was a day of exploring a world beyond their school; to OTIZ employees, it was a day of expressing kindness through action. After a full day of companionship and interaction, the employees developed understanding and empathy for children with diverse needs and strong bonds as a team through collaboration. At the end of the program, the children transformed their senses and feelings into creative ocean-themed projects, and those who created the most impressive pieces received prizes from OTIZ representatives and the school teachers as encouragement and to bring them a sense of achievement.
OTIZ devoted CNY 50,000 to this program, which brought together 183 students, parents, teachers and medical staff. Social engagement programs such as this offer opportunities for FENC to give back to society with its resources and convey humanistic care. For employees, these programs nourish them with positive emotion and a sense of identity, which enhance corporate cohesiveness and solidarity. Helping oneself by helping others, such actions form a virtuous cycle and demonstrates FENC’s long-term belief in fostering complementary growth of employee care and corporate social responsibility.
