Enhancement of Smart Disaster Prevention Technology for Factories–Chemical Operations and Technical Safety Training

FENC reached out to the Industrial Safety and Health Association of the R.O.C., the Chinese National Federation of Industries and the Taiwan Man-Made Fiber Industries Association and co-organized the program, Enhancement of Smart Disaster Prevention Technology for Factories–Chemical Operations and Technical Safety Training. The training was designed to reinforce the safety of chemical operations at its production sites; minimize the risks of spills, explosions and occupational injuries; address insufficient on-site protection, poorly fitted personal protective equipment (PPE) and the lack of real-time monitoring in conventional disaster prevention management.
The training focused on the selection and fit testing of PPE against chemical hazards to help employees acquire safety knowledge and protective skills while reducing the risk of chemical exposure and occupational injuries. A total of 75 employees attended the session. Another training zoomed in on self-inspection for fire safety, which was designed to raise employees’ fire prevention awareness and reduce fire risks by honing their inspection skills. The aim was to protect public safety by preventing fire-induced hazards and pollution in the community and environment. A total of 74 employees completed the training.
